Research Centre for Social Work and Social Policy (RCSWSP)
The Research Centre for Social Work and Social Policy (RCSWSP) is a non-profit, non-governmental centre engaged in research in the fields of social work and social policy and is affiliated with the Social Work Programme of the University of Nicosia.
It aims to make a significant contribution to the generation of knowledge in social work and social policy and to enhance research in these two fields. It also aims to improve the quality of graduate training in social work by providing social work students with opportunities to gain research experience outside thesis/dissertation work. The Centre offers a distinctive approach to social work practice and policy, psycho-social approaches to understanding individuals, society and institutions and inter- or multi-disciplinary perspectives on social work practice. Through its research and training programmes, the Centre aims to widen the participation of social work practitioners in research and the generation of relevant knowledge.
